Murals & Faux Finishes

Kimbo credits her 6th grade art teacher with instilling in her the joy of murals. That's where she got the first taste of having her work on public display for her peers in a huge arena. It was at J.E. Edmonds Elementary school in Clayton County, GA. The wall was in the cafeteria. There she was able to point at her contribution of "grass" in the jungle scene which surrounded the kids and faculty as they ate their lunch. It may have only been a small part of the big job but she'll never forget the pride she felt in having been a part of the big picture.

ABOVE: Kimbo has been working on a series of murals for Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, Georgia since the winter of 2007. "It is such an uplifting experience being around these athletes. Spirits are high and I feel so alive with their positive energy surrounding me as I work."the artist says.

Above: Kimbo worked the summer and fall of 2007 on an ocean themed mural for Dr. Michael Granger's orthodontic and dental office in Fayetteville, Georgia. It was a lot of fun and good therapy according to the artist. "It's always rewarding to complete a job when the client is pleased." she says.  Our thanks goes to Dr. Granger for hiring a local artist to do the work in their new place. Kimbo hopes it helps along with his practice in bringing beautiful smiles to the patients' faces.

Walls, cabinets, frames, doors and everything in between.

"If it's sitting still, it's getting painted!!"

Above Left: "Friends Gift Shop" in Fayetteville, GA commissioned Kimbo to paint their metal exit door to liven up the place.

Top Middle: Kimbo was asked to paint a themed wall for her clients son's room. His favorite movie at the time had some thing to do with being "fast & furious".

Left, Right & Above Right: Kimbo worked with the owner of Off the Wall Murals on the cafeteria at Spring Hill Elementary in Fayetteville, Georgia. Afterward, they partnered up for a little while and worked together on many projects in the surrounding area.
