Kimbo began making
handmade dolls in high school under the guidance of her art teacher. (Kimbo's first doll is "Miss Mouse"). She
enjoyed it so much that she decided to make one here & there
every once in a blue moon. Kimbo likes to mold the faces, hands and
feet with her eyes closed sometimes. She says it truly makes her go
to a deeper understanding of the features when she's tuning in her
senses of imagination and touch. The molding is made from
clay which the artist bakes and handpaints. The bodies are hand
sewn and filled w/ birdseed or rice. All doll sizes are
approximately 10" tall.
Clockwise starting from top: "Miss Mouse" $99,
"Moolabelle" $99, "Giraffe" $99, "Ladybird" $99, "Hugh
Harefner" $50, "Wanda the Fish" $99 SOLD
